The Journey: A Voyage 《信约:唐山到南洋》Private Screening

Thanks Channel8 for inviting me as the blogger to the private preview screening of this drama at The Joyden Hall, Bugis+ last Thursday night.
I brought boyfriend to the event because I am sure he will be interested in this drama as Jeanette Aw is one of the cast for this drama~

ABOUT THE DRAMA

The Journey: A Voyage is Channel 8's 2013 year-end blockbuster that recounts the travails of first-generation Chinese immigrants who set foot on the island of Singapore to seek their fortunes and future. The journey is one fraught with difficulties, one they must persevere to carve a niche they can call their own, build a new homeland and enjoy the fruits of their success.

It tells the stories of three young men as they faced the tumultuous 1920s and eventually survived the odds to call Singapore home.

The Journey: A Voyage is part of MediaCorp’s TV50 celebrations and part of a trilogy which will culminate in Singapore’s nation building celebrations in 2015.

They were introducing their roles and experiences acting for this drama.

After which, we get to watch a special footage and the episode 1 of The Journey A Voyage 《信约之唐山到南洋》.
I was amazed by the CGI effects for this drama.
Anyway, the first episode tells us about the history why our ancestors traveled all the way from China (唐山) to Nanyang (南洋) to make a living and also what are the problems they encountered.
This drama will anticipates you to watch every episodes as each casts tell their different story.
